KaTori Beauty LLC | Shipping & Processing Policy

1. ARTISANAL FULFILLMENT & CUT-OFF TIMES

Every item at KaTori Beauty LLC is subject to a mandatory processing period prior to shipment. "Fulfillment" refers to the time required to prepare, calibrate, or hand-craft your items before they are handed to the carrier.

  • Daily Cut-Off: Orders must be placed by 12:00 PM ET to start processing on the same day. Orders placed after this time will begin processing the following business day.

  • Business Day Definition: A “business day” is considered to be Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal holidays.

  • Non-Handmade Items: Please allow 4–8 business days for processing and quality inspection. 

  • Sizing Phase (First-Time Customers):

    Physical Sizing Kit: Allow 3–7 business days for the sizing kit phase (dispatch and processing) prior to the start of the production window.

    Digital Sizing Concierge: For faster processing, utilize our virtual Digital Sizing Concierge. Orders enter the production queue immediately following measurement verification.

    Handmade Production Windows:

    Basics: 7–10 business day fulfillment.

     Studio Curated Designs: 10–14 business day fulfillment.

    Custom Requests: Fulfillment varies based on complexity and specific artistic requirements.  

     

    High-Volume Notice: DURING HIGH-VOLUME TIMES PLEASE EXPECT A SLIGHT DELAY. All fulfillment times are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates.

 

2. SHIPPING, HOLIDAYS & TRANSIT

All orders ship Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States. Packages do not ship on weekends or the following US holidays:

  • New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas.

  • Tracking Updates: Please allow 48 hours for tracking information to update once you receive a tracking number.

  • Carrier Selection: We utilize UPS and USPS. Transit times are in addition to the fulfillment windows listed above.

  • P.O. Boxes (U.S.): Packages sent to a U.S. P.O. Box will be sent via USPS. Note that any shipping-related benefits or expedited guarantees do not apply to orders shipped to a P.O. Box.

  • International: Orders may take significantly longer due to customs. International orders cannot be shipped to APO/FPO or P.O. Box addresses.

3. PARCEL FORWARDING SERVICES

If you choose to use a parcel forwarding company, KaTori Beauty LLC will not be liable for any damage, defect, or loss that occurs.

  • We will not offer replacements or refunds for orders or items reported missing or damaged that we reasonably believe to have been delivered to a parcel forwarding company.

  • Any order addressed to a parcel forwarding company is placed at your own risk. KaTori Beauty LLC is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

4. TRANSFER OF LIABILITY & RISK OF LOSS

Once your package is out of our possession and scanned by the carrier, KaTori Beauty LLC is no longer responsible; it is now the sole responsibility of the mail carrier.

  • Ownership and risk of loss transfer entirely to the carrier (UPS/USPS) and subsequently to the customer.

  • To ensure the security of high-value artisanal commissions, any order containing a Studio Curated Design or Custom Request with a total value exceeding $150.00 USD will automatically require Physical Signature Confirmation upon delivery. KaTori Beauty LLC is not responsible for packages that are returned to our studio if a signature cannot be obtained.

  • Error Protocol: In the case of a delivery issue, you must contact the carrier first to open an inquiry before contacting KaTori Beauty LLC.

  • Delivery Attestation: A carrier's "Delivered" status (via GPS timestamp or delivery scan) serves as definitive and final proof of the fulfillment of our contract. You waive the right to dispute the transaction based on non-receipt if the carrier confirms successful delivery.

5. EXPEDITED "RUSH" REQUESTS & MULTIPLE ADDRESSES

  • Rush Orders: If you require your order by a certain date, indicate this in the "Special Instructions" at checkout. Customer service will reach out to provide a quote for a Rush Fee. Requests made after an order is placed cannot be guaranteed.

  • Multiple Addresses: We are unable to ship to multiple addresses in a single order. To ship to multiple addresses, we recommend placing a separate order for each address.

6. PRICING & CURRENCY

All prices listed on our site are quoted in USD. While shopping, prices may be displayed in your selected local currency, but the final transaction and all legal claims are based on the USD value.

7. FRAUD PREVENTION & ADDRESS MODIFICATIONS

To prevent fraudulent redirection of high-value artisanal goods:

  • No In-Transit Rerouting: Once an order has been dispatched, KaTori Beauty LLC strictly prohibits the rerouting of packages to an address other than the one provided at checkout. We do not honor requests to change addresses with the carrier once the item is in their possession.

  • Verification: We reserve the right to cancel any order that triggers a "High Risk" fraud alert in our system or where the shipping and billing addresses do not match, without prior notice.

8. REFUSAL OF DELIVERY & ABANDONMENT

  • Refused Packages: If a customer refuses a delivery from the carrier to avoid our Strict Final Sale Policy, the package will be considered "Abandoned."

  • No Refund for Refusal: Abandoned or refused packages do not qualify for a refund. If the package is returned to our studio, the customer must pay a new shipping and handling fee to have the item sent back out. If the fee is not paid within 30 days, the item will be destroyed for hygiene purposes with no credit issued.

9. THE "DELIVERY SCAN" FINALITY

  • Conclusive Evidence: You agree that the tracking data provided by UPS or USPS (including "Delivered" scans, "Delivered to Front Porch," or "Delivered to Mailbox") shall be deemed conclusive and non-negotiable proof of delivery.

  • Verification Waiver: By purchasing, you waive the right to claim "Package Not Received" if the carrier provides a delivery confirmation at the destination coordinates.

10. LIMITATION ON SHIPPING INQUIRIES

  • Active Tracking Requirement: Our studio will only investigate "Missing Package" claims if the tracking has shown zero movement for more than 15 consecutive business days for domestic orders.

  • Carrier First: We will not engage in shipping disputes until the customer provides a Carrier Claim Number showing they have already contacted UPS/USPS and received an initial response.
